On September 30, 2011 forty nonlinear leaders meet in Murad Resorts in Bethlehem as to reconnect and inform each other on the progress of their commitments to the network. The participants shred where they are from their commitments .
One Participants shared that “ from his commitment to the community , he is working to facilitate the problems the people face while dealing with law and courts “ . Another added “that he has been working in a village near Hebron called Yatta to make a big demonstration that calls for civil rights and reveals the violations”. Some participants are moving forward with their commitments whereas others are stuck.
Part of those commitments was the Civil rights initiative that aims to highlight the violations of Israel of civil rights and international conventions. Two participants of the Network worked on this commitment and they present what they have done so far. They have worked on a research that tackles all the Israeli laws and orders that violates the civil rights since 1948 until this present time . Moreover, the nonviolence methodology and techniques for opposing such issue was also presented part of the research. Different reactions towards the research came out that support the initiative, they were enrolled and attracted to take part of this initiative .
The group then was divided into small circles where they could discuss together and come up with the priorities that they see it an urgent to start working on. The outcomes of the circles differ according to the priorities where one group chose to work on the freedom of movement , another wanted to work on the right to natural resources ( water ) , stopping the effect of Belfour declaration and the last group chose to work on a complete campaign for the violations.
The day ended by declaring the commitments and planning for another strategic meetings where more actions in details will be included and tasks to be divided.
