
For two long days on October 7th and 10th 2011 , Holy Land Trust staff
was honored to have Mr. Dani Horowitz and Ms. Lucia Rimoldi from the Humanist movement . The Seminar took place at Cremisan Convent in Beit Jala, a place that is very calm and peaceful yet soon the separation wall will be annexing it and providing the community from reaching there. The seminar was designed to explore a new learning in nonviolence and the Silo Massage that the Humanist Movement follow and look into new possibilities to work together.
In 1969 the first public presentation of Silo, in Punta de Vacas , Argentina. On that Occasion he held a speech called “ the healing of suffering” which today is considered as the laying foundation of what later becomes the Humanist Movement and “ Silo’s massage” . In that occasion Silo spoke about human suffering, about the different forms of violence and about how to suppress violence and suffering. Following that learning many different social and cultural organizations , one of them was the “ World March for Peace and Nonviolence” which Holy Land Trust was part of it and organize the Palestinian section of the March . Today there is humanist following those learning in 100 countries in all continents , and since some years people are constructing the so called “ Parks for study and reflection”, that are places of inspiration ,of study and reflection and interaction with others.

The two days focused on tools of personal development which were helpful in the aim of surpassing personal and social violence. Also practices of body postures and relax , internal and external relax techniques , the experience of peace and the contact with the human being . An introduction to the ceremony of wellbeing was presented and a guided experience with short stories in which an asterisk detains the flow of a story so that the one carrying out the experience may emplace at that very moment , the mental image that is appropriate.
The seminar brought many different ideas to cooperate between the two organizations and new possibilities appeared that there will be a chance to work on them.
